A safer UV barrier for food and industrial packaging applications
Food and other products can degrade under UV light exposure. UV barriers can protect sensitive products, however, additives based on phenolic benzotriazoles are now considered Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).
Ampacet UVBLOCK 1496 offers excellent protection against low UVA and UVB exposure in clear polyolefin packaging, but unlike traditional UV blockers, it is formulated without the intentional addition of SVHCs.
UVBLOCK 1496 also offers excellent optical properties and is approved for food contact in Europe and the United States.
